Case study
There are a plethora of difficulties faced by the unhoused community every day. Finding food, shelter, and resources is becoming increasingly difficult in many major cities across America. Unfortunately, unhoused women have the added difficulty of navigating their menstruation cycles on top of all their other needs. Period products are an exorbitant amount of money, and are often hard to find in the most urgent moments. As a woman with the privilege of having a home, I can only imagine how difficult navigating a period is for those who have more limited resources. Below are some mock-ups for a conceptual app I envisioned to address the sanitation needs of those with limited resources.
